Thing is, I just wiped my HD at work and basically did a clean install of CS5 and all the other things I use. The MP I'm using at work is a first generation intel, and my MBP at home is a 4,1. Liquify works like a charm on CS5 on my MacPro at work, however, I get the 10 second lag on my MBP at home. I don't know whether I should believe this though, here's the quote form the blog: I posted on John Nack's blog about it, and they said that this isn't normal and something probably went wrong with my system or my install. But since I know that liquefy can run perfectly fast on my computer, as demonstrated by CS3 and CS4, I can't understand why the exact same plugin (same version, too) is so much slower. I like to feel that what I do gets done instantly, especially for simple things like panning. Unusable! Panning around is much slower than CS4, but I can live with it, even if it annoys me. CS4 is still acceptable, a tiny bit slower but I can live with that, however, CS5 is horribly slow at liquefy, even the most basic thing I do causes it to lag behind by 10 seconds or more. I can open the same file on all three at the same time, and CS3 is always the fastest at doing everything (liquefy is great, panning is in real-time and very responsive). Yes, I have CS3, CS4 and CS5 all installed on the same machine. Please help if you can I thought cs5 would have tons of improvements, I don't see why it's acting like this, especially if I didn't even change anything, it's sad that cs4 worked out of the box and this didn't. it's a shame because it's painfully slow and it's sad that I might regret this purchase on such a small tool that doesn't work that I really need compared to many other new tools that also help me a bunch now. I take a lot of photographs of models and their faces and stuff and I use the liquefy tool on like 60% of my work, a little facelift and nose job here and there.

Now, I tried liquify on a small blank image with 1 line on it on cs4 and it worked flawless, I tried the same thing on windows BC on a cs5 trial and it was noticeably slower, and I tried the same thing on CS5 mac and it was just a horrible lag, I don't know what to do because I don't know what the problem is, everything is untouched and new, the same settings and everything and it just doesn't work. Now I have a 08umb, and I bought cs5 for my mac, and the thing is is that everything works fine, except liquefy is just lag heaven.
